
JASPER WILLIAMS
Born
and raised in Zimbabwe, Jasper moved to South Africa in 1989,where he started a
career in sound engineering, recording a host of top Bands and Artists to date,
receiving a SAMA award in 200 for his achievements .Influenced by the then crazy
Dance and Rave scene, he turned his production skills towards dance and
electronica.
Remixes for the likes of Boo! Chromagene, Noa & B.C.Dance were the result.
His involvement with Pioneer act Glo-tech Africa, alongside Hans von Burg,
J.P.Elliot and Chris Palmer of Layered set him up as one of the country’s
hottest Progressive dj’s, playing a host of venues country-wide.
Whilst Engineering and Djing, Jasper was instrumental in setting up Glo-Tech
Africa Records and mixed tracks for release By Glo-Tech Africa artists such as
Ryan Sullivan, Denton Wilmot, Allan Shine, Quadrata, Ivan Kenny, William
Kalmer,and Solid State Stereo, to name a few.
As a Dj, Jasper brings great depth to his sets by layering tribal percussive
beats with deep, rolling bass lines. He creates an extremely danceable late
night journey.
Currently Jasper is planning on doing more remix work for Ryan Sullivan, as well
as releasing a few of his own tracks.
