Section 75 aka             Lee Pennington

Middlesbrough in the North East of England may not sound like the epicentre of the dance music universe, however in October 2003, with the inception of a progressive house club night *riffraff, Lee Pennington (Section 75) put his two feet firmly on the first rung of the DJing ladder. Launched initially as a one-off promotional event to help promote his debut release on Source of Gravity Recordings, it quickly developed into an event that would cater for those people who appreciate forward thinking and thoughtful house music.

Over the last few years Lee has fast become a respected producer of underground house music and now has tracks available on many independent labels that are supported by the likes of, Cattaneo, Warren, Flash Brothers, Lawler, Guy Ornadel, John Digweed, Steve Parry, Scott Bradford, Mashtronic, Paul Van Dyk and many more A list Djs.

As well as his resident duties at *riffraff, Lee has managed to get out and about across Europe, playing his own brand of progressive house to the masses. Gigs at Paradox (Switzerland), Club Headway (Dundee), Dirty Blondes & Primo Amore (Newcastle), Audio Deluxe (London) and the summer parties at Orange Corner (Ibiza) have capped an impressive 2005 with Lee looking forward to more of the same in 2006.

Section 75 has continued a busy 12 months with appearances on Energy FM, Red & Blues Shake show, LRCN FM and now his own show hosted on Proton alongside one half of KVK, Mr Sean McCllelan.

Lee is now head of promotions for Source Of Gravity Recordings and is to help the brothers Sterio run the label through 2006.

With several more releases pending in coming months, a host of DJ appearances across Europe including Ibiza and a USA tour not to mention the continued development of the *riffraff night, it would seem Mr Lee Pennington / Section 75 is going to have his work cut out for him.
