The story of Tassos Papagiannoulis (aka Tash) begins in the late ‘90s when he got into mixing Funky Breaks, Freestyle & Miami Bass tunes influenced by the sound of Planet Patrol, Debbie Deb, Africa Bambaataa, Arabian Prince, Freestylers, after many years as a Graffiti artist also promoting hiphop events, graffiti festivals & breakdance contests, being infected by the electronic music genres.. In 2001 his interest gets attracted by the development of the term ‘Dance’, and starts collecting his first vinyls of progressive beats & breaks..

In 2002 Tash steps into his first experiments at a small home-studio in his hometown, producing his very first original productions.. In the mean time as a DJ, he’s been the main resident of Mojo Bar in Veria for the following 3 years playing in parallel at several events out of town next to important jockeys of the country, meeting new people and expanding the coverage of his fans’ field.. Then he met the dutch dj Stage Van H creating the Vantastique project of Tash & Stage Van H, on the decks, in the studio and at the office!

In September ’05 Tash moves leaving his hometown to complete his knowledge and become a Pro in web-design & graphics. In November, Tash gets involved with Stage in the DJM Productions (DJ Movement / artist management – event promoting unit) based in Thessaloniki, taking care of the creative unit (MJD Creative / wed & graphic design) and taking care of DJM’s Publications & Media part. Next to the office work, Tash did pass a long time in the studio producing fresh solo tunes & co-productions with Stage..

The coming year brings great feedback for his musical work and he quickly gets in position to grab a pen and sign his the contracts with music labels! His work was quickly admired from important national & international DJs, and soon Tash could be heard on radio broadcasts, featured in charts, and seen on the decks of main clubs and hot spots of Thessaloniki and other cities of the country, rocking the dancefloors next to main djs & live acts, receiving feedback from names like Gabriel & Dresden, Andy Moor, Leama, Ton TB / 3 Drives On A Vinyl, Greed, Kasey Taylor, ao..

Nowadays, people still talks about the massive driving of ‘Emotional Impact’ of Tash & Stage released on UL Recordings (gr), and his spoken words can be still heard in ‘The Real World’ released on Greed’s SOG Records [ch] who quickly signed it together with the atmospheric ‘Body & Soul’. At the same time, Tash gets pretty busy working either in the studio or at the office & the creative, playing as well as a DJ keeping the flame of his rep alive producing new material for labels like Presslab Records with ‘Detox’ coming out in March ‘07, and Candyflip Records (Gr) dropping Tash & Stage Van H first cd mix compilation entitled ‘Movement’ volume 01 in April ‘07 and the debut album of the duo ‘Keep On Moving’ coming in autumn ‘07. Tash’s studio-work also includes upcoming remixes for Kasey Taylor's Vapour Recordings, Pure Substance Records (Malaysia) & Leoni's UL Recs..
