Snake Sedrick returns to Pure Substance after 'Fields' release, and with 'FRICTION', comes dark driving tribal monster that will make the dancefloor shivers with Snake's Original Mix & Black Mamba Mix and on the exclusive remix duty, Red & Blue of Adjust Recordings, with an amazing 4am sinister peak time shaker. * Charted 27 on Release Promo Chart (3.3.2006) FEEDBACK SO FAR David Amo & Julio Navas - Good tracks... we'll support !! Dean Facer - Stunning, totally stunning, this will get my full support...all 3 mixes are very very useful indeed & this will be in box / wallet for quite sometime...10/10 (this will be played, charted, playlisted to the max. * Charted 1st on Hype Chart for 20/2/2006 / Playlisted on United Colors of House (on CRMK 89:8 FM) Brian Cody (Resident Advisor Australia) - Pure Substance's Digital wing sees a low slung tribal roller from Hungarian producer Zoltan Hedrik aka Snake Sedrick entitled Friction. First up is the Original Mix, kicking off with blend of tribal percussive elements and intermitant delayed sounds shifting the groove to the next phase as rhythm upon rhythm become layered. The mood keeps deep & dirty throughout as a pitched vocal cut pulls it further into depths. Events ease back at a gradual pace for the break with just the menacing vocal at the fore & picking back up with a build once more. The Black Mamba mix keeps to the dirt filled power of the original but makes full use of the vocals & hypnotic synth hits swirling about above a tighter house beat, moving & shifting with a heavy flow. Wrapping things up is the Red & Blue Remix, cranking up the heat with a highly charged workout complete with techy percussion & seething. elongated delays leading into momentary silence with a breakdown to scare any dancefloor. http://www.residentadvisor.net/review_view.asp?id=3607 Moshic - thanx! i like the Black Mamba Mix. Liked the build up and the shake in style. Trendroid - Wow great mix... big room shit. can't wait to play it. all mixes on this are good. Hardy Heller - very strong stuff as always...will play all 3 versions as every single one is useful...powerful...strong.... BP Zulauf - What an original track by Snake ! A really nice dark journey into tribal progressive. I like the vocal cut & wicked grooves though out it, this one will def get plays from me. Black Mamba has also cooked up a treat, really nice chugger as well & keeps to the same dark atmosphere as the original, really nice stuff. Red & Blue, i am not surprise with their remix, of late they have been carving up the dancefloors with their remixes...def a personal fav of mine & this babey is a monster on steroids... what a break down, these two are Gunning for Glory : ) 10/10 for the whole package.... PSD does it again ! Red & Blue - Been caning the original for well over a year. lovin the black mamba mix too !! great stuff !! Yves Eaux - Nice dark and deep release. Janicki & Langner - Snake Sedrick is one of our fav if comes to progressive tribal in the old style... Danny Graham (Punch Funk) - I really like the Original and Red & Blue's Remix of this track & will be playing them both on my radio show on Proton Radio & at my forthcoming gigs. Moonbeam - Black Mamba Mix - cool adding lengthy delayed fx ! Its really hypnotic sound ! Xplore - Snake is awesome, got a progressive-tribalish vinylistic style. Crisp, clear and fat sound. Federico Giust - Snake Sedrick....awesome as always ! the 3 mixes are great for any floor !! I'll give it a 10, perfect package ! I will def play the 3 of them. Guillaume Nyckees of Galaxie 95.30FM - My favourite mix is Black Mamba & Original Mix. Both have a great groove with tribal and percussion, the atmosphere is very strange with the dark voice.
