PSD015 : Janicki & Langner - Love Generation (Original Mix, Dub Mix, Andrew K Flash Flood Remix, Adam Byrd Remix & Symbiosis Remix)

Release Date: 24th January 2007
Format: Digital Download

What can we say, 2007 is definitely going to be massive year for Pure Substance. Closing out 2006 we have delivered Jay Lumen, Xplore, Tobias Hoppe, Moonbeam, Marrocco and now Janicki & Langner, who's not a stranger in the underground house scene as they have released and remixed tracks for established labels such as Twisted Frequency, Existence Records and T-Freq Recordings. This time, they present 'Love Generation'.

Original Mix is a fantastic underground prog house winner. It has a tough yet dreamy & subtle effects punctuate throughout, unrelenting groove with twinkling melodies, tight bass & overall fantastic production. The Dub Mix goes on a tougher tip with a driving bassline, sharp stabs, tech electro laced grooves which work perfectly in harmony, building it into a wicked hypnotic groove.

Andrew K remix delves into a tougher, prog melodic groove with driving rhythms, the generation vocal, lush chords & well programmed synth that keeps on teasing you without losing it's momentum.

A producer to watch in this year, Adam Byrd debut remix on Pure Substance is one of those tracks when you put it first on you think it's taking a deeper approach, but wait till it builds & builds through the mix, adding layered hooks & strings to the mix, up to a lush break & onto the finish. Pure bliss, hypnotic & perfect for early hours.

Symbiosis aka Cube also made its debut on Pure Substance, which opts for a deeper heads down approach, laced with dark moody atmospherics & mild key changes are evident throughout, spiraling up & up into a hypnotizing loved up groove.

This release is what should remain the cornerstone of a Progressive Dj's set, a backbone track that sets the mood perfectly. Deep, groovy and fantastically produced. A solid release which would see firm support from a wide range of DJ's. This release also sees it hit number 1 spot on Juno Digital Progressive Chart for end of January 2007.

Chad Bozzarelli (District Ignition) USA - A complete success ! The bassline on this is EVIL ! I love it.

Michael Dunham (Muzak, Om Rec, Om Hip Hop) USA - Andrew K Flash Flood Remix: Big thinking, belly shaking bass here on this mix. Lighter melodies are laid down over the top, sounding of an english church organ...just a little more hollow sounding, then a huge breakdown brings you into a world that almost has industrial dance, body music, (synth pop) influence. Adam Byrd Remix: Minimal tribal beats meet a crescendo of light synths mash into a harmious trap then change to a deep house breakdown, after this it goes straight to a San Fran feeling of late night house. Great production. Looking out to hear more from this guy. For lovers of Miguel Migs, Blue Six, Naked and Om Records lovers.  Symbiosis Mix: banging prog track. Reminds me of Sasha & Digweed on the Delta Heavy Tour. All the Diggers & Sasha fans will love this. Solid production. Well constructed breakdowns and final release of vocals. Perfect example of using the elements rather than over production.

Chris Udoh (Tigerhook) USA - Feeling the Adam Byrd mix very much !!

Adam Byrd Remix: Adam delivers a wicked remix. I like the new sounds he is introducing. Really well put together.
