PSR001 : Andrew K & Simuck - Clouds Go By (Original / Flash Brothers Remix)

A: Original Mix B: Flash Brothers Remix
Release Date: July 2004

Greece has been home to artists such as G-Pal, Kosmas Epsilon, Jose Zamora and now comes Andrew K. As an upcoming dj / producer, Andrew signs with Underground Lessons Recordings & Management and teaming up with Simon Oates from the UK, results in the production of three tracks, all released on UL Recs. Their project is named "Junk Science", and their first EP "Inception". Later, one of their tracks, called "Jataka", is licensed by Markus Schulz and released on Armada Records (cd+12"). Pure Substance Management then signs Andrew K for artist management in Asia and while working with Kenny, who was already in the process of finalising the label, they manage to join ideas and forces. The debut release, 'Clouds Go By' will be the first collaboration between Andrew K & Simuck, a very talented artist from Lithuania (who is an artist of RyRalio Records).

The Original Mix, is a twist between the deep and melodic sounds of progressive music, while the feeling of travelling -by the time you listen to it- blends with your mind. Soft, tantalizing row of beat and bass with lush pads and leads. It is fueled with the most prospective rush elements a track could ever gain. Atmospheric sounds are making the whole track glowing and the energy levels rising up like thermals. The full superlative flavor of the track is getting back on again while the atmosphere completes and the rest elements of the track are coming up again together. Pure melody, pure sound, progressive interaction, deepest thoughts and desires! Perfect to either build up your set and add an atmosphere in it, or to end your set it late morning.

The Flash Brothers Remix. Known for their string of releases on Silver Planet, Bedrock, Release, Yoshitoshi, Distraekt, and their recently released "Fear Of A Silver Planet" mix cd, Flash Brothers on the remix, make best choice to kick-off of the label. Full tribal vibes on this one. Junglish sounds with percussion and darkness. Hard feeling and treble that gives you a sense of vibe along to dance. In the middle of the track, the original melodic atmosphere of Clouds Go By is coming in, with a perfect tweak of the melody along with an exceptional use of breaks. There is no turning back when the beats and bass come back again. A perfect blend of tribal, techy house with a proggy tip, plus intelligent use of electro and 303 acid sounds (which are back and hot again) all over it. The dreamy breakdown with combination of the heavy beats and bass, definately make it a peak-time track to be in your box for a long time.

Arjun of Jalabee, India - Thanks very much for these remixes ... love the Clouds Go By remix by Thomas Nastos.

BP Zulauf of Helvetica Rec - "Out of the 4 tunes I really liked Andrew K & Simuck - Clouds Go By (Work Warning Mix) the most, a nice tribal warm builder with one of those blissed out drops in the middle to put a smile on any dial. Thomas Nastos did a nice job on the break beat interpretation and certainly captures the full mood and feel of the original...really top prog breaks and def the second one I liked out of the 4...nice wah bassline :). PSR is right on the mark with the uplifting prog sound...def a nice package and wikked sounds coming from all these guys! Nice one bruva ;)"

Eelke Kleijn, Holland  - Work Warning Mix of Andrew K and Simuck’s track is really my thing as well. Really great use of strings and sounds there, awesome warm up track.

C-Jay, Holland - Warm rolling drums with a layer of soundscapes, taking you places where u defo wanna be.. in my case for a while.

Ryan Sullivan, South Africa - (Work Warning Mix) was sent to me by Andrew last year. I still love this remix of an already great track. My favorite of the remixes and I still sometimes play it. (Thomas Nastos Remix) This remix has awesome feeling, although I wont be playing it as it is more suited to either really large epic moments or a down tempo set, it is a beautiful remix!

Andy Hughes (Balance Record Pool) - B-Side is killer ! Very interesting track ! Sounds good LOUD !

Kevin Shiu & Nick Delgado (Balance Record Pool) - Flash Bros has beef up the remix a lot. I like the break down, good bassline, the break down remind me Orbital in early 90's. The breakdown is a touch too long for my like but i will still play it for sure. 6/10

Spesh (Balance Record Pool) - The emotive original mix is the favo. Flash Bros have done a nice job, but the simplicity of the original mix is what work for me. 8/10

Cary Chang (Balance Record Pool) - Nice record. 7/10

Deko-Ze (Balance Record Pool) - A great 5am record. Solid. 7/10

Sean Carnahan (Balance Record Pool) - Flash Bros remix was a bit closer to the mark. This songs holds well on the floor and played regularly. 7/10
